A match made in Heaven - As of this January, the Locanda Mistral is home to Italy’s first and only Kästle Test Centre, affording us the opportunity to provide even more benefits for our mountain-loving guests and visitors to the Valle Maira!

Locanda Mistral and Kästle: a match made in heaven

What does this mean for you? It means you’ll have access to Kästle’s high-quality and innovative products direct at the Locanda Mistral, such as ski-touring skis, bindings and skins. All you have to do is bring your ski boots. This equipment will be available for testing and renting, with the support and guidance of our helpful staff, such as our resident mountain guide, Renato, who’s been leading tours in the Valle Maira for over 20 years. Besides being the first Kästle Test Centre in Italy, we will also provide you with other equipment such as ARVA, shovels, etc. There’s no need to organise ski rentals or miss out on our awesome excursions - you’ll have everything you need to go conquer the winter mountains!

For more than 90 years, Kästle has been equipping ski fanatics and ski beginners with functional, design-worthy and long-lasting skis, made with love in Austria. Kästle stands for fun and action, and exploring new trails in the snow. On Kästle skis, boundaries can be explored and personal goals attained. Through our exciting partnership, all of our guests will be able to explore the beautiful Valle Maira in winter. Not only in the high mountains, but also in lower altitudes, such as the plateaus and in the larch forests – there is much to be seen! Locanda Mistral is a strategic starting point for many tours: halfway between Chialvetta, Saretto and Chiappera, and not far from Marmora and Preit.
