The Locanda Mistral is the ideal place for outdoor sports enthusiasts and connoisseurs. An oasis of inspiration and tranquillity for consciously living guests who love and respect nature and are looking for the perfect small, high-quality and family-run accommodation.
Manuela, chef of the restaurant, and Renato, a mountain guide for more than twenty years, are driven by the love for the mountains, and the history and culture of the valley. Their warm hospitality and attentive service, as well as valuable insider and excursion tips, will certainly make your stay in Valle Maira a unique experience.
The Locanda Mistral is located in a converted 18th century farmhouse, which has been renovated with great care and respect for the architectural richness of the Occitan tradition.
Like Manuela's parents, Manuela and Renato have been living the tradition of hospitality for many years: they take care of every detail, using only natural and native materials, creating an ambience where comfort and tradition are well combined. The cosy accommodation is accompanied by an excellent cuisine in which old recipes are revised and reinterpreted to enhance the flavours of the region.
Frèdèric Mistral was a French writer and poet of the Occitan language, born in the first half of the 19th century and awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1904. The name of the Locanda Mistral is homage to the culture and tradition of the region.
